Vacant Position: Technical Sales Manager - Asia Pacific

Borregaard LignoTech is looking for a new Technical Sales Manager for its Feed Additives business in Asia Pacific.

Title: Technical Sales Manager, Animal Feed

Reporting to: Business Manager Animal Feed (Asia & Pacific)

Location: Singapore office with extensive travel in the region

Key responsibilities:

  • Sales of Borregaard LignoTech’s products and services to the animal feed industry, including pelleting aids, acidifiers and by pass proteins. Direct sales responsibility for existing customer base as well as accountability for new sales development in key growth territories
  • Business activities also involves collection of information and support of Borregaard’s distributors
  • Prepare and execute a business plan for area of responsibility
  • Hands on work with commercial and integrated feed manufacturers to demonstrate the performance of BLT products in the customer’s plant
  • Provide technical support to customers and business partners
  • Direct involvement with customer’s purchasers, nutritionists, manufacturing and senior management to discuss the benefits of BLT Products
  • Introduce if needed and / or manage distributors and agents in the territory
  • Participate in industry associations, trade shows and conferences. Be an active part of the industry
  • Work with the global sales & marketing and technical team to develop new products and services

Expectations / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or graduate degree in Animal Science or Feed Manufacturing
  • 5 years technical sales experience in the feed industry or 3 years experience in feed manufacturing with a strong aptitude for sales
  • Good command of language ie English with oral and written skills is mandatory as well as some Chinese language skill
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the customers’ organization; purchasing, manufacturing, nutrition and senior management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as a team player within a cross-cultural, international organization
  • Ability to travel within the region
