Borregaard presented at Brenntag Bangladesh seminar
On January 28, Borregaard LignoTech made a presentation at a technical seminar organised by Brenntag Bangladesh in Dhaka.
Bangladesh is a 4 million tonne feed market with main focus on poultry and aquaculture. Brenntag Bangladesh started their animal nutrition business three years ago and serve as distributor for Borregaard LignoTech’s pelleting aids PellTech™ and LignoBond DD®. In addition the company produces and sells the Neubacid range, which is based on Borregaard’s SoftAcid® technology.
On January 28, Brenntag Bangladesh organised a technical seminar for its customers and industry partners in Dhaka. Borregaard LignoTech’s Ramesh Subramonian and Tom Stylo participated at this event. Mr Stylo also made a presentation that focused on the importance of pellet quality and the four key factors that influence the production of consistent quality pellets. Furthermore, Stylo introduced Borregaard LignoTech’s pelleting aids and a brand new product, Intact Aqua™,* as a greener alternative to the synthetic binders widely used in the shrimp feed industry today. The presentation was well received and discussions were made with some of the feed companies present. The event was also covered by the local magazine Bangladesh Poultry & Fish, which published an article in its March 2016 issue that summarizes the key points from Stylo’s presentation.
*Intact Aqua™ is a new combined pellet binder and processing aid for shrimp feeds. The product will be commercially available from mid-April 2016.
